you guys are being really fucking ridiculous. Just because this person happened to use gifs from a movie you like doesn’t mean you can completely discredit the point they’re making. Okay. It’s a real problem. I notice all the time how there are no black people in a movie or show (at least non with speaking or significant speaking parts) or there’s the token “black friend” whose entire characterization is usually defined by the fact that he’s (and it’s almost always a he) is black. There are of course exceptions (this movie maybe, I’ve never actually seen it). Children do say this, and what’s even more sad is when they don’t. Social Justice bloggers exist because social justice is needed.
